John Zaruba Jr TACP Wall Hanging

(ca March 2001) I made a series of memory quilts for family members.  This was the first which I made for my brother.  He spent 4 years in Air Force Special Forces as a Tactical Air Controller.  I digitized and embroidered the command shields in the upper right and left corners.  The lower left shield (1st Cav in Ft Hood) is available from several sources.  I knew I had a combat crew badge but couldn't find it in time so I replicated the badge on the lower right square.  His name tape is in the bottom center square and his active duty pictures were printed on photo transfer medium and are in the middle.  Since this wall hanging was completed I replaced the pictures which faded with ink-jet printable fabric and added an 8thID patch.  It is currently hanging in his office.
