RM1 John Zaruba's Navy Service Wall Hanging

This is the second is a series of wall hanging I made for family members.  This one was made for my dad.  The background fabric is an overall print of WWII figures, ships and aircraft.  The pictures range from formal portraits to personal snap shots.  The center of quilt the Naval Communications label.  The quilt is accented with several of his rates and amphibious service patch.  Just above the embroidery is his "ruptured duck" which he wore on his uniform after his discharge from the navy after WWII.
